International Newsletter January 2014
As we look back on 2013, we are blown away by the many ways in which God moved. We are so thankful to every one of you who volunteered, prayer and/or gave sacrificially to make this a reality. What a privilege to be used by God in this way!
Below are just a few of the ministry highlights of 2013.
Established new Steiger base in Beirut, Lebanon
In February, Steiger established a new base of operations in Beirut, Lebanon as part of our effort to pioneer a new missions movement focused on the "Globalized Muslim Youth" demographic.
"Revolutionary!" Published
In May, Steiger published David Pierce's new book "Revolutionary! Ten Principles That Will Empower Christian Artists to Change the World," which challenges Christians to use their God-given creativity to proclaim the Gospel outside the church through ten clear biblically based principles illustrated by real-life examples.
Steiger Community Houses
In September, Steiger established 3 new Steiger Community Houses in Warsaw (Poland), Tauranga (New Zealand) and Sao Paulo (Brazil). Authentic Christian community is an excellent way to reach and disciple people from the secularized global youth because while they are more "connected" than ever before through the internet, their relationships are often very superficial, making individuals more isolated and alone than ever before.
Stage Trailer
In April, Steiger was able to purchase a fully equipped mobile stage trailer, which has greatly increased our capacity and effectiveness in proclaiming the Gospel all over Europe. We are able to set up this full festival-sized stage, including light and sound equipment, in under 1 hour.
NLM Tour
This year, Steiger's "No Longer Music" teams did 58 Concerts in 8 countries (Poland, Ukraine, Albania, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Spain and Portugal) – Over 40,000 people saw the NLM show and heard a clear Gospel message and over 3500 responded to the alter call following the presentation of the Gospel.
Steiger Mission School
56 students attended the Steiger Missions School in Krogis, Germany. The students were from USA, Finland, Spain, Ukraine, Russia, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, Poland and Lebanon.
Dresden City Festival
Steiger Germany was responsible for one of the major stages (using our mobile stage trailer) at the Dresden City Festival, which draws around 500,000 people. We had a large tea tent set up by our stage and an art exhibition. Steiger Missions School students had long conversations and many were open to Jesus for the first time.
Steiger Conference
In September, 500 gathered in Sao Paul, Brazil and in November, over 300 gathering in Sumy, Ukraine to attend Steiger Conferences in those cities.
LIFT Discipleship Schools
Students attended a five month discipleship school at Steiger Karlsruhe (Germany) designed to help students grow in their faith and live a no-compromise, God-seeking lifestyle.
TV show in Poland
The first episode of a 10-part TV series featuring David Pierce called "Narrow Road" was aired on a national TV station in Poland.
