International Newsletter October 2014
This summer, 55 students from all over the world (Spain, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Brazil, Portugal and USA) attended our Steiger Missions School (SMS) in Krögis, Germany. The school is designed to train and equip people to reach the secularized global youth culture for Jesus.
Check out this video telling the story of TD & Veronica - two 2014 SMS students from Fort Smith, Arkansas: www.vimeo.com/steigerint/sms14
As a practical application, the students were involved in a weekly outreach in Dresden.
Below is a report written by Valerie Acosta De Castro - a student from Columbia (living in Spain):
The entire school was amazing!
We had a very strong group of students - 33 of whom have chosen do a Steiger internships or volunteer with one of our ministries around the world. The internships serve as a practical next step in the process towards becoming official Steiger missionaries.
The harvest is plentiful and the workers are few - so pray that God will continue to guide and develop these young potential missionaries to have an eternal impact for Jesus around the world!

In addition to lectures, the school includes regular hands-on local evangelistic outreach, a week-long international outreach, corporate prayer and worship, individual mentorship, personal time for seeking God and more.

"This is the place where God can change your life as a missionary, where you can plunge into Him, get to know Him in His entirety, and hear His call for your life. Also, you get practical knowledge in order to make steps in your personal mission!" - Oleg (Russia)
"If you have a heart for missions, if you want to pursue what God has for you, if you want to use your music, your art, or your talents to reach the people who don't know God, SMS is the best place to learn." - 2014 SMS student

As part of our outreach, we partnered with a local church to create an art and music cafe in a great location in Neustadt - a neighborhood that draws many secular young people.
Each week, we had many people come by and enjoy our live music and art exhibition - all of which was designed to present Jesus in a relevant way to the secular young people of Dresden.
One week, a young woman named Hannah walked past the cafe with her baby and some people from our team invited her to come inside. At that time she didn't know anything about God, but she was very open. The students talked with her all afternoon and then invited her to come to the SLOT art festival in Poland with us… and to our surprise she did!
While we were there, she would come to our Bible studies, pray with us and participate in everything. She said she could understand the whole idea of God but she struggled believing Jesus was the son of God. We kept encouraging her, saying that He would reveal Himself to her. One day, after a very special time of prayer, He did!
After that, Hannah and her baby came back with us to Krögis. She started to worship with us every morning and attend our lessons. Each day she grew stronger and stronger in her faith and towards the end of the school - just a few weeks ago - she made a firm decision to give her life to Jesus!
