International Newsletter November 2014
Artem is a 22 year old, award winning break dance champion from Zaporozhzhye, Ukraine. He wanted to use his ability for something more meaningful. So this summer he came to the Steiger Missions School in Germany to learn how to use his God-given talent as a tool for sharing the Gospel.
Throughout his time at the school, it was clear that Artem had a real heart for the God and the lost. He was chosen to participate as a member of the "No Longer Music Steiger Missions School" team - a multiplication of the original NLM team made up entirely of Steiger Missions School students. The NLM SMS team did 6 concerts in Poland and one at the Dresden City Festival in Germany. It was powerful tour and many came to know Jesus!
He did so well that he has been chosen to part of the "original" NLM team in 2015. He will part of reaching many thousands of young people all over Europe and parts of the Middle East next year!
Artem is one of many young people from Ukraine that have attended the Steiger Missions School in Germany since 2011… This was made possible thanks to the generous scholarships provided by many of you!
The investment in Ukraine has been well worth it!
Today, Steiger Ukraine is a vibrant national ministry led by Denis and Angela Tkachenko from Sumy, Ukraine. Their vision is to raise up young missionaries to reach the secular youth culture all over Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and other parts of the Russian world.
We currently have 16 missionaries, 9 interns and established full-time Steiger bases in 3 cities (Zaporozhie, Sumy, & Dnepropetrovsk). We are also establishing bases in Kiev and Herson.
In September, I spoke at a gathering in Kiev of 33 Steiger missionaries and volunteers and encouraged them to be radical followers of Jesus that have eternal impact on Ukraine! The motto of these young missionaries in Ukraine is, "My Life is My Mission."
They believe that they can change their city and country if they are missionaries right where they are, at their jobs, studies, schools, neighborhoods, etc…
This is part of Steiger's international strategy to establish long-term presence in urban centers across the globe that immerses and engages in local youth culture, demonstrating the love of Jesus through ongoing outreach, discipleship and local church partnership.
In November, we are doing a major Steiger Conference and in January, we are planning Steiger Compact School in 5 cities!
Please pray for wisdom for Denis & Angela and other Steiger leaders as God continues to grow our presence throughout Ukraine and other parts of the Russian-speaking world.
For the lost!

MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT: Steiger Germany
Steiger's vision is to have a radical impact with the Gospel on this lost generation in Germany and around the world.
The vision will take place in 3 ways:
- Reach the "secularized global youth culture" for Jesus in cities throughout Germany (through No Longer Music and other creative outreach)
- Establish long-term presence through local church partnerships in cities throughout Germany (seminars and training; local ongoing outreach and discipleship)
- Raise up new missionaries from Germany to be sent all over the world
Steiger Krögis, strategically located in Saxony, is Steiger's international, visionary and creative center. It is the starting point for ministries and missionaries called to reach Europe and the Middle East for Jesus.
Steiger Germany depends on the support and partnership of people who share its passion for reaching and discipling the "Secularized Global Youth Culture" for Jesus.
